Copies of Paintings
As well as portraits, I have been asked over the years to copy other paintings
for a variety of reasons. Apart from a sale of the original, the reason is
often because of a family connection or a great admiration for a particular
painting; the examples shown below give some idea of the variety.

The copy was painted on a fairly small scale (compared to the original by Hashimoto Kansetsu), for a client who had originally seen the artist's work in Japan.
This painting by Thomas Jones Barker depicts the Relief of Lucknow in 1857. It was copied for a client whose ancestor was present.
